Vibe Machine V-3 Main Controls: Easier Than Ever
Easily craft a sound that’s perfectly tailored to your performance or rig.
Speed
Dial in the rate of the vibe movement, from slow swirls to fast warbles.
Intensity
Control the depth of the effect, from shimmering accents to hypnotic swells.
Chorus/Vibrato Switch
Chorus for classic Uni-Vibe modulation, Vibrato for pitch bending.
Original/ Bright/ Custom Switch
Input impedance selection. Original for warm classic tones, Bright for modern sparkle, or Custom mode for everything in between.
Optional Tonal Controls: Adapt to Specific Gear
With the endless variations of rig and pedalboard setups we all use, the optional side controls (trimmers) allow you to fine-tune the Vibe Machine V-3’s overall tone for specific setups. These controls can help when pairing the V-3 with impedance-sensitive pedals like certain fuzzes, although not necessarily all fuzz pedals. These are designed as 'set and forget' options, ensuring the Vibe Machine V-3 adapts seamlessly with your existing rig and other pedals.
Most users won’t need to adjust the trimmers, but they're there if needed. All side trimmers are factory-set for a perfect working point right out of the box, so to start playing, you don’t need to adjust anything – just plug in and enjoy.
Using Set & Forget Options:
Chorus
Vibrato/Dry mix, affects the EQ & lushness in Chorus mode.
Custom
Guitar’s brightness of Custom mode, input impedance.
Grit
Overall tone presence, fuzz/rig adaptation, output impedance and low-pass filter.
Volume
The overall output level.
Sym/Range
Character/Response of Vibe movement, lamp bias.
“The Vibe Machine V-3 has such a rich, lush tone. I love putting it on a slow and low setting to use as an “always on” pedal for certain songs and then dialing up the speed and intensity for a full 3D sounding fast vibe effect in other places. It’s a super inspiring pedal that is so much fun to play!”

Detailed Description
The Vibe Machine Legacy: From V-1 to V-3
The Vibe Machine's legacy began with the V-1 in 2011, capturing the essence of true Uni-Vibe tones in a uniquely compact format. With pioneering features, like the Leslie ramp option, the V-1 unlocked new levels of creative freedom for musicians seeking soulful modulation and fun.
Our V-2 model took it a step further, introducing enhanced versatility that expanded its sonic palette and tonal adaptability to rigs.
Now, the Vibe Machine V-3 stands as the pinnacle of this legacy, ultimately refining the modulation EQ for even wider depth and a fluid blend with your core tone. Experience the culmination of our passion for Uni‑Vibe in a compact, pedalboard-friendly design that's ready to enhance your playing.
Now, it's your turn to step into sonic history and experience the iconic Uni‑Vibe sound reimagined!

1960s Innovation: The Birth of the Uni-Vibe
Born in the psychedelic era of the late 1960s, the Uni-Vibe is a unique effect known for its pulsating, swirling sound. While long thought to be designed to emulate the Leslie rotary speaker, its Japanese visionary, Fumio Mieda, was actually inspired by the distinctive phasing effect he heard when listening to Radio Moscow.
He noticed a weird (de)modulation of the program, as multiple radio waves from Moscow bounced off the ionosphere and reached his AM receiver through different paths. Impressed by the sound, he then designed the Uni-Vibe (Psychedelic Machine at first), forever changing music’s sonic landscape.
Hendrix adopted the Uni-Vibe in 1969, weaving its psychedelic magic into his performances. Later in the ‘70s, Gilmour and Trower (and countless others) also embraced the Uni-Vibe, adding that liquid-like texture to their solos or atmospheric riffs.

The Vibe Ingredients: Analog Authenticity
Feel the warmth of analog circuitry! Unlike traditional phasers, the Uni-Vibe uses a circuit with small light bulb, highly variable photocells, and multiple phasing stages to create its unique, organic modulation. Although it’s possible to get the Uni-Vibe’s analog sound with other technologies, the Vibe Machine is still a “photocell vibe” for true vintage correctness. We use customized photocells and bulbs.
From the V-1’s beginning, we’ve engineered methods and devices specialized for measuring and selecting photocells, to ensure smooth production, culminating in remarkable tonal consistency between units. This dedication, coupled with years of our refinement, guarantees that the Vibe Machine V-3 delivers the warm sonic palette of vintage units that many guitarists crave.
If you have time, learn more about our process in this extensive interview with Zvonch, including the topic on photocells starting on page 6.

Expand Your Creative Horizons with a Footswitch or Expression Pedal
Expand your creative horizons beyond the pedal’s standard use with our external Footswitch (F‑1L3, sold separately) or an Expression pedal of your choice. Integrate these options onto your pedalboard.
Customize your V-3's expressive control to your liking!
Craft hypnotic rhythms with Tap Tempo, switch between Fast/Slow speeds and effortlessly delve into dynamic accelerations of the Leslie ramp feature. The classic Uni-Vibe, darker and warmer "Cancel bypass”, is also here. Experience the Speed and Cancel functions with any standard expression pedal, just like with the original Uni-Vibe® foot-controller!
Find your expressive flow! – consult the Options manual, which includes embedded videos and step-by-step instructions for complete customization of these features.

Vibe Machine Evolution: Discover the V-3's Wider Depth vs. V-2
For our 10th Anniversary, we set out to improve upon the well regarded, slightly mid-focused V-2’s voicing, pushing its boundaries even further. The result is the V-3, delivering greater sonic depth, a warmer, more organic expressive tone to inspire your playing.
Experience these key differences:
- Seamless Blend with Main Tone:
The V-3 blends fluidly with your core tone, preserving its fundamental EQ character while adding a wider, more immersive depth of modulation. - Intensity easier to adjust:
From subtle shimmers to trance‑inducing beats for breathtaking musical results. The V‑3's redesigned Intensity control offers full usability across its entire range. - Enhanced Sym/Range controls:
Explore variations in the vibe movement with ease. These optional controls, significantly improved over the V-1/V-2 models, offer effortless and precise fine-tuning of the Vibe's throb (lamp bias). We include a small screwdriver for quick adjustments. Consult the User’s Manual or FAQ for more info about these controls.
Experience the Vibe Machine V-3's expanded sonic dimension and expressive power! Let the V-3 inspire your next sonic journey.

Uni-Vibe Placement Magic: The Overdrive Connection
The legendary swirling sound of the Uni-Vibe, made famous by Jimi Hendrix, has captivated guitarists for decades. So why can recreating that tone feel elusive for some? One key factor is getting the right pedal placement within your signal chain!
While the Vibe Machine works beautifully with clean tones, for that classic Hendrix-inspired magic, overdriven sound is the key. His tone relied on overdriven amps – a loud sound that isn't always practical today. Luckily, with overdrive pedals (as with overdriven amp) you can still achieve that magic without ear-shattering volume.
To get that rich inspiring Vibe experience, place the Vibe Machine in front of your overdrive then into a clean amp. This unlocks that huge and exciting Hendrix style sound that inspires you to get lost in your playing.
Want a taste of THAT magic without cranking the amp? Try our own "The Engine" (a foundation overdrive / preamp) placed after Vibe Machine. Also, you should explore placing any type of Fuzz pedal in front of your Vibe Machine!
